“Stolley manages to juggle both the elegance of Nina, but also her fierce passion.” -KTSW Review of Stupid Fucking Bird.
Julieanna is a biracial (Filipino/White) Brooklyn based actor. When describing her work words like, raunchy, nasty, emotional and open hearted get floated through the room. She is drawn to characters who cover up their hope with vicious and fire-filled attitudes. She herself is a marshmallow wrapped in a tough casing. Therefore, she understands the dichotomy and struggle of wanting to be a strong powerful woman with the heart and soul of a hopeful girl.
Julieanna wants to play women who have hard stories that need to be told, so that other women can feel comfortable in feeling their pain, rage, joy, and freedom.
Julieanna Stolley is finishing up her training at Brooklyn College MFA Acting Program, where she has focused equal parts on her humanity and acting skills. Some of her favorite credits from her time at Brooklyn College include: In the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play (Mrs. Givings) and Antigone (Antigone)
Julieanna previously graduated with her BFA Performance and Production from Texas State University. Her focus in undergrad was centered around Shakespeare, devised work, and stage combat.
During her time in undergrad, Julieanna trained under and assisted the stage combat professor, Toby Minor, becoming both a combatant and choreographer. She studied abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre. Some Texas State Credits include: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (The Player), Mr. Burns (Quincy), The Tempest (Antonio), and As You Like It (Rosalind).
